Why recycle with us

Rebar is fine — within reason

Concrete with some rebar in it is normal. Excessive rebar, mesh, or wire is charged extra, so cut it back before you load.

In and out

Clean loads get inspected at the gate and dumped in minutes. No appointment during business hours.

Keeps it out of the landfill

Every load we crush goes back under San Diego roads, pads, and driveways instead of into a landfill cell.

One yard, one stop

Dump your concrete or asphalt and load recycled base material for the next job on the same trip.

How concrete recycling works here

  1. 1

    You haul it in

Bring broken concrete to 850 Energy Way in pieces no larger than 2 × 2 × 2 feet, with rebar and wire cut back.

  2. 2

    We inspect at the gate

Our crew checks for dirt, oversize slabs, excess steel, and trash. Clean loads go straight through.

  3. 3

    We crush and screen

Slabs and rubble are crushed and screened into uniform recycled concrete aggregate.

  4. 4

    It goes back to work

The finished material is sold as recycled base for slabs, pads, driveways, roads, and backfill.

Common questions

Do you take concrete with rebar in it?
Yes, as long as it is not excessive. Loads with heavy rebar, mesh, or wire are charged additional fees or refused, so cut it back where you can.
What about block, pavers, or brick?
Clean concrete block and pavers are generally accepted with concrete loads. Call ahead about brick or anything mixed with mortar and dirt.
How much does it cost to dump?
Rates depend on the load and change over time, so call (619) 708-5358 for current pricing. Loads with dirt, excessive rebar, or oversize pieces are charged additional fees.
Do I need an appointment?
Not during business hours — pull up to the gate Monday through Saturday, 6:30am to 4:30pm. After-hours dumping is by arrangement only and a reopening fee applies.
Can I buy recycled base material there?
Yes. We sell crushed, screened recycled aggregate for base, backfill, and fill, loaded into your truck or trailer at the yard. Call ahead for what is on the ground and current pricing.
